The college was established in the year 2006 by Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Education Trust,formed under the patronage of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, with the approval of the Govt.of Punjab.

Our mission is to mould the youth into world class technocrats of tomorrow who would endeavour to uplift the quality of life for human kind and contribute significantly to the advancement of global society.It is our strife to fulfill this mission that has put BBSBPC today among the few top Polytechnic colleges of Punjab since its inception.

The College is approved by A.I.C.T.E.,New Delhi,Ministry of H.R.D.Govt.of India and is affiliated to Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training,Chandigarh.The college offers Diploma programms in Computer Science and Engineering,Electronics and Communication,Mechanical,Automobile and Civil Engineering with an intake capacity of 270 students.

The college is situated in an idyllic environment and is housed in a sprawling pollution free campus of 10 acres and a located in sacred surroundings of historic Gurdwaras of Fatehgarh Sahib which stand a testimony to the supreme sacrifice of the two younger sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji i.e.Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh Ji,who were bricked alive here at the tender age of 9 and 7 years respectively.Mata Gujar Kaur Ji,mother of Guru Gobind Singh Ji,also breathed her last here after the episode of supreme sacrifice of her grandsons.The college is named after Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, a great saint and warrior who was deputed by Guru Gobind Singh Ji to conquer the Sirhind Fort and to put an end to the tyranny of the Mughal Empire.

Fatehgarh Sahib has an ideal geographical location with the proximity to three important cities of the regions i.e.Chandigarh,Ludhiana and Patiala.The college is located at 5 kilometers from Sirhind Railway Station,42 kilometers from Chandigarh,65 kilometers from Ludhiana, 40 kilometers fron Roopnagar and 35 kilometers from Patiala.

Our college is one of the most sought after Diploma College for admission by the students who qualify in the School Board Examination (10th Class) Conducted by PSEB,Punjab.All the seats get filled instantaneously during the counselling sessions.
